Hi German freelancers. We are an Irish tour operator specialising in Colombia. We are launching a new website soon and need to tidy up some of the German copy on our site. We have a combination of + Pages that currently do not exist in German + Pages that do currently exist in German but need to align more closely with the more recently updated English pages + Pages that are too longwinded in German and need to be more concise + Pages in German that can be improved in terms of style and repetition + Pages that exist neither in German nor English but will be added in English to the new site and need the German counterpart In most instances these are not straight translations from English to German. You will have the original German text as a starting point. You will have the [hopefully] better/more concise text in English. We have a competency for answering sales enquiries and translating technical and nerdy documents. We need someone with a track record in writing engaging, informative and concise web copy in German. We need you to be your own proof-reader. If we look at it from a grammatical angle then our amendments will make the content technical rather than promotional. it needs to arrive to us error-free and ready to publish. You are a native German speaker that is capable of dealing with us in English. You can run free to an extent, we know German and English are different languages and it is your job to make the German copy slick even if it does not accurately reflect the English. If you know Colombia too, then that is a bonus but not a prerequisite. Throw in a bid for whatever amount.
