We’re a small web development company, located in Arizone, USA. We’re in need of a graphic artist to handle all content related to the development of a country music festival site (see [[login to view URL]][1]for a similar look-and-feel to the project’s objectives). We’d must insist that the artist speak excellent English, and preference will be given to persons living in the Americas (North or South), since a lot of telephone conferencing will take place over the life of this project. The wire frame design of the site, its coding, and all written content will be handled by other members of the team. The artist’s responsibility will be focused on the aesthetics to the site. This includes selection of the color scheme, development of line art for such things as maps, seating, camping areas, etc. The site will also use a lot of photos of past events and will require the artist to comb through perhaps a few hundred professional shot photos to render whatever the artist thinks best. Rendering will be the formatting, compression, touchup, and combining of the photos to meet a given page’s needs. The site will likely have about 40 pages when complete. Since the theme is to create a visually rich site to build on the excitement of the next music festival, 4 to 6 pictures is likely, on average, per page. Most will be straightforward photos. But, some will require a lot of creativity to piece objects together to come up with a really nice result (such as artwork for the homepage’s header for example). Again, see the [[login to view URL]][1]site for a feel to the scope and depth of the artwork required. There are two members to the team now. We enjoy brainstorming and would most enjoy an artist who likes to make suggestions try new ideas. The project doesn’t need a Rembrandt, but it does need an artist who is talented and able to articulate their ideas so we’re all in step with their plan. ## Deliverables We expect the project to require about 10 weeks to develop. However, it’s clear from our discussions with the client that the website will require continuous care and feeding. So, the selected artist is likely to see a continuous stream of revenue for at least two years. We’re willing to consider a fixed bid from the selected artist for their work on this project. We are, however, concerned with the inchoate nature of this project and a fixed fee may not be fair to the artist. So, some combination of fixed and hourly compensation may be best. So, when proposing your fee, please provide some flexible alternatives so we can gage not only how much the graphic artist might cost us, but also your person flexibility as unexpected twists and turns develop over the life of this project. Please email a ballpark cost estimate, along with a list of some of your sites, or the URL to where we can examine your portfolio. Be sure to include your phone number and the City/Country where you reside. Lastly, we’d like to thank you now for taking the time to apply to this posting, since we may not be able reply to your application later (as too many candidates might apply). We will, however, give each candidate’s application serious consideration. Thanks for applying.
