Website Development for a Data Analysis Tool#

Overview This is a software development project which is based on a need for a simple analytical tool that will process a data portfolio and give the potential buyer of this data a dollar figure for help in analyzing whether they should purchase this data. This will be based on a proprietary formula establish by us that can simply break down a large portfolio by the few revealed facts that the seller generally releases prior to the buyer making their decision. This project will produce a web based portal written in C# or Visual Basic for Azure. It needs to be able to import the data from Excel Spreadsheets then run it through the formula and come back with the values needed for ranking it. There will be several tables to create based on the formula and they will remain the same for each run and a couple factors that will change with the differing data that is entered. Included The project will deliver a website where our target market will be able to go and import a sample data portfolio, select a few variables, and then get back a value for that portfolio. They should be able to gain a better idea of weather that portfolio is worth the asking price or to be able to pick the best portfolio from a selection of several portfolios. Excluded This project is not a marketing plan or a sales plan for the software itself, it is a plan to produce the software from ideas stage to working prototype, then to test and finally release a finished website that customers can utilize for a fee. We are an IT Consulting firm in New York State. We have been in business for over 10 years and have a variety of clients, and we take care of all their IT needs. We do not currently have an in-house developer and our CTO does not have the time to devote to a project of this scope. We are looking for a developer that has working experience with C#, Visual Basic, Ajax, and Azure. We would like to have open communications and our CTO needs to work closely with the developer as he already has a vision for this project. We would like someone who is creative and can work efficiently on their own. There will be a strict non-disclosure agreement and we would expect regular updates and to see the code at regular intervals. We have estimated that the project could take anywhere from 2-4 months depending on the efficiency of the programmer. If the project goes well there may be regular updating and changes made that we would retain your services for in the future.
