VBA script to check if mail domain exist

I need help writing a VBA function that takes an email adress as argument and does some kind of dns check for MX-records to validate if the domain of the email adress is existing and valid for emailing.

I guess we can't validate if the actual reciever exists? That would be best of course.

I want to keep referenses to external libraries to a minimum. Please describe if you intend to use any.
