vbscript to check hardware id of a drive

looking for a vbscript to parse out the firmware version of a attached hard drive on a computer
for the attached image:
[url removed, login to view] c300
would check for the instance of any drive name that matched "c300" (first ok) then look at the hardware ids. The first ID should contain the firmware version surrounded by underscores:
IDE\DiskC300-CTFDDAC256MAG______________________0006____
and it should return that value:
0006
If the first ID doesn't contain firmware id, it should iterate through them all until one is found.
otherwise errors that it should return are:
DRIVE NOT FOUND (if drive string above not matched)
FIRMWARE NOT FOUND (if string doesn't contain anything surrounded by underscores)
