Problem with VB6, DBGRID and DAO

I have a legacy application in VB6, that use DAO (yes, DAO, not ADO), and DBGRID control. There is a problem with Windows 7, in some machines. When I don't run as administrator, there is an error with DBGRID control. By the contrary, when I run as administrator, DAO doesn't find database when the mdb is in another machine (I'm using windows network units to simulate a local database). The error is this: "error nº339: componente [login to view URL] is not correctly registered or file is missing or invalid." But IT IS registered When you run as administrator, the problem is solved, but then is another problem: the database is not founded when is in another machine. I can't reproduce the problem in my machine, only in some clients I hope you can help to solve this problem.

Hi! I have read all the details you have provided and its not a problem with VB6 or programming. It is an issue with windows and can be fixed. You will have to provide remote team viewer access to the machine on which it is producing error. I can do the job as I am good at windows, VB6 and also networking. Thanks!
