We are in need of a website tester. We have developed various sites, some of which are in Adobe FLEX / ColdFusion: connect to databases and/or invoke web services. Other site are just plain and simple HTML/PHP/ASP, but there might be a dead link or just expired news or blank.
Ideally the web tester will work with us in the following way:
- get a list of sites from us
- develop a test plan for each site, outlining different test scenarios. these should cover functionality, usability testing, security testing, depth vs breath approach, performance, stress test, content robustness test, development vs production server, simulating types of user (including malicious), retesting areas that will be fixed as a result of the test, identifying other areas that may have been broken due to new fixes. the plan should include a list of tools needed, testing timeline, and if additional resources are needed, i.e. 10 random Internet users
- the plan will be submitted for approval, and adjustments maybe necessary
- a test server will be setup so that the test doesn't affect the production
- once the test plan is approved it will be executed according to schedule
- a detailed report should be submitted for evaluation by our technical team
- once fixes are in place, testing should be resumed to prove that the fixes work, or to determine if there are new problems.
- test report should be updated and submitted
We'll need to have your contact information, sign an NDA, and be able to communicate directly with you either via telephone, skype, and/or email. You must speak english and be available to discuss the work required. Depending on your time zone, we can work out a schedule of when to communicate. We expect an average communication turnaround time of of less than 24 hours for normal priority, but for a high priority situation, it must be less than 4 hours.
We need someone who can commit for the long run. Only bid if you have a proven background with software / site testing. We are not looking for someone who is learning along the way. Don't bid if these testing tasks seem boring to you because sooner or later you will drop out. Only bidders who have the energy and commitment to work on these tasks in a diligent, professional, and extremely organized manner should bid.
