High Level System Support, Setup, Diagnosis and Troubleshooting for Windows Server based systems.
We are a 3 engineer IT support provider located in Sydney Australia. We need additional expertise “as needed” for setup and troubleshooting customer systems based on the Windows family of server products (Server, SBS, Exchange, TermServices etc) We will provide our onsite resources and you will work remotely.
Estimated workload is 0 – 50 hours per month with an average of 20 hrs. If successful this can increase as our business grows with long term potential to approach a full time role. One specialist who can become familiar with our processes and our customers + systems is preferred (with or without the backup of a larger team). We are seeking a long term partner who will be a respected and key part of our operation.
A high level of experience and multiple Microsoft certifications is required. It is very important that you have many years’ experience. Broader experience that includes network issues, database administration and other skills relevant to small business IT systems would be beneficial. You will need to solve very challenging system issues that are beyond the usual items documented in MS training, technical references and internet discussions.
Examples are:
- SBS 2011 system with 600 seconds delay in client PC logon, common causes such as DNS etc do not seem to be present
- SBS 2011 system, requires remote desktop solution to enable >5 simultaneous users to access server based application. Propose required enhancements and then implement.
To enable joint work to occur onsite, you should be in a time zone that has some overlap with office hours / early evenings in Sydney.
