Though I am not sure what are you going to manage in DynDNS. I can not commit you any deadline but you are right this is not at all a big amount of task. If you have already a written powershell script then it is ok otherwise, I will have to write the powershell script. Dynamic DNS consists of two different components: the client component and the server component. Each piece must talk with the other in order to ensure the server takes care of the client that requested the change. Although DDNS typically requires little intervention, there are times when it becomes necessary to intervene. Using PowerShell remoting and just two built-in commands on each client, we can easily toggle the "Register this connection's address in DNS" NIC setting. Steps to update External IP address: - Get the host's current DNS IP address using GetHostAddresses function. - If the DNS lookup failed, report and continue to next host. - Set-DynDNSUpdate -HostAddress $DynDNSHost -IP $ActualIP -Credentials $DynUP - Will use this to write an update to DynDNS. Now, I am not sure why you want to create a windows service where you can easily add this script at windows default scheduler. Its triggering me that may you have some requirement which can only managed by a custom c# application. So, can you please let me clear on the same. Whatever, for invoke a powershell script we need to create a pipeline and feed it the script text. I will wait for your feedback to move further.
