Slope Stability Design for a Landon Scotland Student
BRIEF DISCRIPTION OF PROPOSED DESIGN OPTIONS
Considering the above approach points and the task 3 alternate designs are provided below

Option 1
SHOTCRETE ALONG THE SURFACE WITH SOIL NAILING
Shotcrete of 150 mm thickness and M-30 grade is proposed to be sprayed on the excavated slope with welded wire mesh of opening size 150 mm x 150 mm. Soil nails of 25 mm diameter and Fe 500 to be installed at a spacing of 2.5 m c/c both way and 4 m length to be installed vertically from the excavated slope.
Perforated PVC pipes to be installed at a spacing of 1.50 m c/c and 150 mm diameter all along the excavated slope. And a bottom catch drain along the road verge to cater the seepage and rain water.
