I spent four years managing every aspect of a safari lodge, catering to international clients. Conference planning and direct marketing played a major role, and I often spent more than a month each year in the US attending major shows and conferences to promote the lodge. I relocated to Johannesburg where I was employed by Bastillion Resources as an executive personal assistant, working on a number of projects for the likes of Universal Coal and Montero Mining and Exploration. After taking this position my role diversified into managing aspects of an investor relations and public relations portfolio, which included travelling to Sydney to promote the business. Due to this position I gained extensive knowledge on internet based customer relations management and search engine optimization tools. My most recent position as Personal Assistant and Admin. Manager at Lock and Store has expanded and diversified my experience and skill set into a financial field as well. This, together with exceptional organizational skills and an intuitive, people orientated personality, honestly allows me be to believe that I could be an asset to any organization and team.
I’ve spent the last 4 years managing my own Guesthouse business; taking care of everything from reservations & guest relations, all aspects of HR management, marketing, suppliers & stock control, accounting & payroll using sage, online & social media marketing. Hospitality & Tourism is now the industry that I am most passionate about, especially the marketing, financial and statistical side of business management.
