Critical Analysis of Growth Trend & Growth Pattern of Hill Track

DOI: 10.11648/j.larp.20160101.14
Urbanization in Bangladesh takes the form of rapid growth of urban population, largely due to natural growth and rural-urban migration. Khagrachari, one of the hill track districts of Bangladesh, is located on the south east side of Chittagong division. Khagrachari pourashava is an A category pourashava. This study represents the urban growth pattern and growth trend of the pourashava area.

Architecture of DBMS as Integrated Cloud Service and Its Advantages & Disadvantages

DOI: 10.11648/j.ajomis.20170201.16
Database Management Systems (DBMSs) is a critical component of modern computing of research and development in both academia and industry. DBMS were among the earliest multiuser server systems to be developed and thus pioneered many systems design techniques for scalability and reliability now in use in many other contexts. Different resources and information between different devices are located in different places always based on internet connection are shared by Cloud computing.

The Challenges of River Bathymetry Survey Using Space Borne Remote Sensing in Bangladesh

DOI: 10.11648/j.aos.20160101.12
The Multispectral Remote Sensing (RS) Satellite 'WorldView-2' imagery has the ability to measure water depth up to 25m. Studies have been conducted based on the band ratio algorithm to determine water depth in the study area the Ganges River in Bangladesh. This method is able to generate accurate depth measurements at points or along transects, and also offer more flexible, efficient and cost-effective means of mapping bathymetry over broad areas.

SMALL RESERVOIR MONITORING BY REMOTE SENSING : A STUDY ON DHAKA CITY, BANGLADESH

6th International Conference on Water & Flood Management (ICWFM-2017), At Dhaka, Bangladesh
A new semi-supervised Bayesian classifier for small reservoir delineation has been developed with Radarsat-2 data for reservoirs in the Dhaka City, Bangladesh.. Results indicate that the algorithm is able to delineate open water from SAR imagery for different weather and environmental conditions. Detection of small reservoirs based on optical imagery is a well-established method.

ESTIMATING URBAN INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER QUANTITY BY REMOTE SENSING DATA: A STUDY IN DHAKA, BANGLADESH

6th International Conference on Water & Flood Management (ICWFM-2017), At Dhaka, Bangladesh
The use the DMSP/OLS Night light imagery System to estimate the spatial and temporal variations in the IW distribution from 2000 to 2015 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The digital number values per unit area (DNP) of each stable light image were calculated using light imagery and were regressed against the IW per unit area (IWP) to estimate the total industrial wastewater (TIW) for the Area.

ANALYSIS OF RIVER BANK EROSION & DEPOSITION OF KARNAFULI RIVER, CHITTAGONG WITH RS AND GIS APPROACH

2nd International Conference on Advances in Civil Engineering, 2014, Bangladesh
An attempt has been made to analyse the bank erosion of Karnafuli River due to regular shifting of river channels by remote sensing approach. Landsat TM & ETM+ image of 1989, 2001 & 2013 are used to delineate the historical changes of the both bank alignment of the river course. GIS and remote sensing are used to correlate temporal and spatial information so that a comparative analysis has been analyzed among shorelines of different years and tentative changing morphology of Karnafuli River.

E-WASTE RECYCLING PRACTICES IN BANGLADESH (A CASE STUDY ON CHITTAGONG CITY)

2nd International Conference on Advances in Civil Engineering, 2014, Bangladesh
This study aimed at examining the current practice of recycling e-waste in the informal sectors of Bangladesh and identifying the problems towards development of a system of hazard-free e-waste recycling in the country especially in Chittagong. Findings of the study on the informal recycling sector revealed that, the main source of e-waste is ship breakage electronic products in Chittagong.

Determination of Level of Service of Agrabad to CEPZ Road at Chittagong in Bangladesh

World Academy of Science & Technology
This study is parallel focused on the existing level of service with traffic volume, capacity, and speed by traffic survey. After all of these analyses the performance of the road is determined with finding the factors that influences the performance.

Critical Analysis of Parking Situation of GEC Circle of Chittagong City, Bangladesh

World academy of Science & Technology
This paper analyzes the parking demand of the commercial centers, based on the parking survey. Further, it analyzes the relationship between the parking demand of the commercial buildings and the public transport accessibility. This paper also provides the parking demand rate under the different levels of the public transport accessibility and the parking demand model with the accessibility.

Effect of Land Use intensity on Surface Temperature: A study on Chittagong City

IEEE
This study is carried out to know the trend of land surface temperature and assess the impact of land use intensity on temperature in the Chittagong City, Bangladesh. A general linear model was used to estimate surface temperatures using Landsat TM, ETM+ and OLI_TIRS. Land-use intensity metric was improved using a geographic mapping method. The results revealed the temperature increased when the land-use intensity increased via a hierarchical transition owing built-up land increased by 48.45%.
