Audio Services Technician - Music Musician - Sound Design Expert

My background is music is as follows: I spent 5 years as the lead sound engineer at a 2,000 capacity theater in Wisconsin. In this time I assisted in building Pro Tools specific training sessions for training purposes as well as assisted in rigging, lighting and stage design. In this time I ran audio for nationally traveling acts including 1964: A Beatles Tribute and Gordon Lightfoot. I then worked for Rhino Staging as an audio technician 1 where I again worked nationally traveling acts like Journey and the Foo Fighters. Young Auditorium

Aug 2006 - May 2010 (3 years, 9 months)

Trained students on the sound system in the auditorium and the concepts of sound production and signal flow. Recorded, mixed and produced live shows into Pro Tools 8 for archive and distribution. Team lead for audio set-up for off Broadway productions including “Spam-a-lot” and “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

I was contacted by the County of Santa Clara- Dispute Resolution Program Services office to assist in a program that allowed misguided and at-risk children the opportunity to better themselves through counseling and support. One of the projects they were working on was a opportunity to express their inner troubles and conflicts through poetry and song. I used my background in audio production to create loops and instrumentals for the students to work with and record to. I later used these recordings to create individual tracks for the children so they could keep a momento of what they had learned from their time there as well as both boost their self-esteem and passion for music and artistic expression. My efforts were rewarded by both knowing that my skills and love for audio production was being used to aid those that might not have ever had a chance to explore this field as well as personal thanks from everyone involved with this experience.
