Shante Gordon, 21, a Chicago native, is a current student whose completing her major in Psychology and minor in Marketing. After four years in commission based sales and multi-level marketing, not to include a lifetime of demeaning minimum wage jobs, Shante decided to take matters into her own hands. Combining her knack for marketing with her desire for making income for herself, in January 2016 Shante launched Now Trending Media Marketing and is currently the CEO of the company as well as working as one of the social media reps. Shantes main goal in life is to advocate for those who have been systematically oppressed and provide safe outlets and support (legally, emotionally). Some of Shantes interest and charities she contributes to include To Write Love on Her Arms, #BlackLivesMatter, #LGBTQ Awareness, and the Polaris Project.
