Creative Content Developer

As soon as I finished my Bachelor's of Commerce with Computers as a major I joined a startup Internet company and ended up managing it for a while. As the dot com bubble burst I decided to do a course in Advertising and Communications in England that taught me a lot about presentations, team work in an international setting and the pub culture in England! Got a job with JWT India almost as soon as I got back and worked there on advertising campaigns for some major brands like Pepsi and Smirnoff. Came up with ideas for branding Cotton Inc and executed campaigns till the shoot and production stages. Did TV ads for Smirnoff and some interesting radio work for DSP Merrill Lynch. After a brief stint at a smaller ad agency as Creative Director I decided to get back to my roots and applied for a job with the Times of India's magazine department: World Wide Media. I never expected to be working at India's Most Popular (and revered) Film Magazine but Filmfare taught me plenty about Bollywood, celebrities and interview techniques as well as fulfilling my ambition of interviewing International talent like Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and James Franco. Five years of travelling to film festivals, assisting in the Filmfare awards event and learning a lot I decided to take a break and dabbled in a blog for movie reviews which is now a very popular website called [login to view URL]. It includes movie reviews, fashion, music, video reviews, interviews and more. I've also taken up freelance projects in between writing a play and directing it for a theatre festival. My latest project is for MyLiveableCity, a magazine to be launched on cities and design. I help edit the magazine as well as provide inputs on design and branding where required. The advertising knowledge certainly comes in handy! I'm also co-hosting and editing a show called Eat Stay Chill on food and travel on YouTube and consulting at an advertising agency as well. Have just started help businesses create some value-based and amazing-looking websites.
