Developed ETL best practices, documentation, automation, and scheduling to bring primary product to a reliable, stable state. Automated a suite of tests for confirming data accuracy for each step of the ETL process. Overhauled primary extract process, bringing it from a 3-day, multi-step, manual process to a single process that completed in under 24 hours. Performance improvements are ongoing for this process.

Developed SSIS packages that managed warehouse ETL under a mostly Kimball architecture. These SSIS packages managed several hundred tables from the source data systems through two staging environments. Developed automated test suite for the data marts that imports several hundred test cases from Excel spreadsheets into metadata tables via SSIS then exported them out into T-SQL procedures. These procedures were then run daily via SQL Agent jobs.
