Analyst Developer

I obtained in 1994 a Master degree in experimental High Energy Physics and have continued my career as university researcher until 2000, participating in international collaborations and experiments in elementary particle physics. Since 2001, I embarked on a career as a software analyst developer working in both off-line and real-time environments, PCI/ISA PC-104 based systems, on both embedded and client/server HW configurations. My best technical skills relate C/C+ + on Linux / GNU and VC++ on Windows, shell scripting, Python, Javascript; object oriented programming, distributed programming, multi-threading programming The experiences of higher value refers to the sectors of telecoms, defense, automotive, avionics, trading online.

Experience

Analyst Developer in Banking&Finance Sector

Greysolutions srl - Milano, Lombardia
Mar 2014 - Dec 2014 (9 months, 1 day)
I'm working on a set of applications in finance & banking context that have to be installed on financial platform. The applications (called feedHandler) connect to few international exchanges and gather market data disseminated by the latter each using a specific application protocol. TEach FeedHandler parses raw data, interprets the engineered data structures and updates a proprietary DB filesystem-oriented. Acquired Skills: VMWare center client, WinCVS, VC++(MSVS 2008), filesystem-based DB, Banking-oriented application-level protocols: CTF (developed by Comstock IT dept), GTP Lite (developed by London Stock Exchange IT dept), FTApi (developed for HIMTF market)

Analyst Developer

GateLab - Milano, Lombardia
Oct 2013 - Mar 2014 (5 months, 1 day)
I worked at an internal project aimed to extend and enhance the capabilities of a application-level software gateway intended to manage FIX4.4-based communications between brokers and traders in the financial markets activities context. The gateway runs on windows platform and is an event-driven, highly asynchronous application thtat uses xml files to define FIX4.4 data dictionary and MSSQL DB as transaction data storage system. VC++, Java, XML, FIX4.4, SQL, Python 3.x

Analyst Developer

Thales Italia - Automation Systems for Railways Transport Division
Aug 2012 - Mar 2013 (7 months, 1 day)
I developed an user library in standard C++ that compiles/runs under both Linux and WinX Oses and that supports UNICODE char-set for Latin I and Arabic scripts using UTF8 encoding (to avoid any possible portability issues with respect to OS and/or compiler versions). The library was intended to command a printer device compliant to the AEA protocol specifications and communicating via an Asynch RS232 serial line device. The I/O between the printer device and the client host was string-oriented. I developed the lexical tokenizer&parser, the sintactical analyzer in order to en/de-code and validate the messages exchanged (i.e. commands/requests towards and responses from printer, and data between host and printer). Moreover I implemented algorithms intended to: UTF8 en/de-code text strings from/to ASCII pseudo-hex representation; transform arabic text strings from Arabic standard char-set into Arabic presentation form-B char-set
