Mechanical engineer Consultant for Gap Analysis and Standards Conversion for ICC Certification for SIP panels

**Description: We are seeking an experienced engineering consultant to conduct an in-depth gap analysis between our European-certified prefab walls and the 2018 (and beyond) ICC standards. This role involves not only comparing the two sets of standards but also converting the documentation to local US standards. The consultant will identify where our European specs exceed ICC expectations, where they fall short, and propose viable remedies for areas of non-compliance. **Core Responsibilities: - Gap Analysis and Standards Conversion: Lead a comprehensive gap analysis, including the conversion of measurements from metric to imperial and temperature from Celsius to Fahrenheit or Kelvin, ensuring accurate comparisons between European standards and ICC requirements. - Assessment of Compliance and Exceedance: Evaluate how the European specifications align with ICC standards, clearly identifying and documenting instances where the European standards exceed ICC expectations and where they do not meet ICC requirements. - Remediation Strategies: For areas where European standards fall short of ICC requirements, develop and suggest remediation strategies, including modifications to materials, design, or construction practices, to achieve compliance. **Key Deliverables: - Gap Analysis Report with Metric Conversions: A detailed report outlining the findings from the gap analysis, including converted metrics, areas of compliance and exceedance, and identified gaps with ICC standards. - Compliance and Enhancement Plan: A strategic plan detailing how to address areas of non-compliance and leverage areas where European standards exceed ICC requirements, enhancing the overall value proposition of the prefab walls. **Qualifications: - Proven expertise in construction engineering or a related field, with significant experience in building materials standards and certification processes. - Familiarity with both European and ICC standards, including the ability to convert and interpret various measurements and technical specifications. - Strong analytical skills, with the capability to identify compliance gaps and develop effective remediation strategies. - Excellent communication skills, capable of producing clear and comprehensive reports and recommendations.
