I have a fairly easy project for someone who knows what they are doing with electronics... Here is what I have... down function) Relay sends out +12v - stays on up function) Relay turns off 12v trigger. So those are my triggers... +12v on and then off is off... When trigger is +12v I need to output +12v on PIN1, and Ground on PIN2 for an adjustable amount of time, .25-2seconds (adjustable). When trigger is removed, I need to output Neutral on PIN1 and +12v on PIN2 for a separately adjustable amount of time. Voltages and such may change a little bit depending on the motor I pick up... but the idea and essentially the cost/difficulty should remain the same. Basically what I am doing is triggering a motor in forward and reverse. Hope this makes sense... doesn't need to be super elegant... if you can do it on a breadboard that's fine if it works.

This is a VERY easy circuit to design with just a handful of components. I can also build more functionality into the circuit, but only if you want it. I am an electronics engineer and have undertaken MANY mechatronics projects, many in robotics; and motor control circuits are integral to that. Greetings, Your project denotes simple mechatronics control using relay and handfuls of discrete components. I happen to be having the same type of motor control for my Mechatronics class, and since I have studied electronics before it comes as quite natural. Regarding the motor(s) and the switching circuit, it is best to provide a separate circuit for the control and the supply powering the motor(s), with the control circuit only controlling which way the voltage flows.
