Using GoogleFinance Spreadsheets (not Excel), Sheet1 will store uploaded stock price data from GoogleFinance & store daily incremental price changes automatically. Approx 100 symbols. Sheet2 will present the data.
Initially ultra simple. I can send you a file of what I achieved so far, most of the above inc Sparklines, but it is not in pivot table format.
What I do is identify a market low point for the sector (27 June 2013 was the last one) then create %Change columns to show %Ch for all stocks for selected event dates as they present themselves ie intermediate market turns. Then I sort %Ch columns 1,2,3 etc to rank all the symbols in order of %Ch from their corresponding prior dates. Right now, from the 27 June low the sector I'm analyzing is coming down off a Dead Cat Bounce so things are approaching a critical point. Most symbols are still above the 27 June low, quite a few are below the Aug 7 low. T
The SPARKLINES are nice and they work well enough for a tiny visual display. Their real usefulness comes in when you increase the height of the row of the Sparkline you want to magnify. Then they are work great. But this is clunky and needs improvement.
What I'd like is to click on a Sparkline image and it resizes automatically to say 12cm x 7cm. A second click on the image would return it and the row to original size, or, clicking a second Sparkline while the first one is magnified would return the first to original size and magnify the second one. Ideally you could have several choices of Sparkline period, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, One Year.
I know you can do the pivot table. Do you think you can do the Sparklines?
Look forward to hearing from you

Anthony
