I am a student in the field of filmmaking, trying to direct my own film. The short film is a psychological drama-thriller where the protagonist, Zoe, has to confront her deepest fears in a vivid-nightmare, in order to free herself and find her own identity. She would confront The Shadow, her mother, among with her insecurities, to wake up form the nightmare free from guilt and finally happy.
During the nightmare, there's a short scene where she enters a room with a tv playing animation. She sees herself as a baby (8 years old) brushing her teeth tranquil until her mother comes with stress to the scene. The mother tries to dress her up and she's unconfortable. That's the animation.
The stylistic approach is a 2D CARTOON animation, very similar to Billy and Mandy (cartoon network series). The film is very surreal and it has a gothic but colorful touch to it.
I'm looking for someone in the field who can put some character and style to it. It's very short and simple. I'd love to work with experimental animators or students as well as any proffesional, I'm here to do this together
