Part-Time SaaS Product Executive (Home-based) The role of the Product Executive is to assist the business owner develop the product. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of the product market strategy, define new product requirements, and drive new product development to grow products in-line with the company’s business goals. The Product Executive will also be responsible for developing the roadmap for their product/service line across the full product life cycle, with the business owner. Market analysis ----------------------------- - Define market – working with market intelligence, provide market context, identify opportunities within it, and make innovative recommendations based on this. Competitor analysis ----------------------------- - Gathering of market intelligence on new products, industry trends, competitive development, and constant evaluation of potential new product features. - Identify competitive and alternative offerings in the market. Document their strengths and weaknesses. - Make recommendations for strategies to sustain our market position to the business owner. - Recommend (innovative) strategies for winning or maintaining our position against the competition. - Resources and competencies – list of capabilities and USPs (by product, service, or area). Strategic planning ----------------------------- - Product strategy – lead on the creation of the recommended product strategy and Roadmap for the allocated product line. - Pricing and packaging – contribute towards establishing pricing models, schedules, guidelines, and procedures. - Business model and plan – lead on the recommendations for the appropriate business model and financial targets. Product and Market Lead, SMG, and Executive communicate outcomes internally. - Product planning requirements and scenarios – create epic level outcomes based on customer need and market definition. - Stakeholder communications – managing Boards, advisory groups, sector representation, and internal stakeholders, etc. Skills Requirements ----------------------------- - At least 2 years of experience working in a Product Executive role for a digital business. - Proven experience building Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) products from the ground up. - A keen eye for product development and user experience, with a customer experience-centric mindset. - Very good experience in gathering requirements from multiple stakeholders and writing product requirements documentation for the development team. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. - Experience managing the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch. - A proven track record of delivering new products to market from inception through to launch.
