I need an LCD projector to follow a moving screen across a room. The projector will shine into a rotating mirror that's position can be controlled from a PC. The project requires building a swivelling mirror (180 degrees) that can be controlled from a PC serial port (preferred) or parallel port. Very simple example software written in any language should show how to position the mirror. The mirror must move smoothly while rotating so the picture does not jitter. I would like this completed by July 11. My shipping address is in Vancouver, Canada Tnx Martin

Hi, I am an experienced Electronics and Software Engineer. I can design this device for you for the above price. If you want me to build it and ship it the costs will be different. I design machinery, automated plant, microprocesor conversion, etc. This job is not complex, I feel, but I need more info, for example, weight/size of Mirror, etc. A drawing would be nice. Regards.

Hello, Based on your requirements you would likely be better off rotating the LCD project co-located on a platform controlled by a stepper as opposed to the mirror concept. More detailed information provided upon project acceptance. Regards,

I have been recently working on CNC machine, project involved controlling of three stepper motors. I can provide you with the solution using serial or USB port. The mid-step (1/8 or 1/16) controller will be used to provide smooth motion of the mirror. (1)What is the estimated torque required (or at least what is the estimate weight of the mirror). (2)What is the rotation speed required for the mirror? (3)Do you need to control the rotation speed via serial port or just the angle of the mirror? best regards, Piotr Watras
