I am a native English speaker with a touch-typing speed of 100 words per minute. I have 6 years' experience in office administration, including an office support role where I transcribed engineering reports from a dictaphone. The recordings were made on-site, so there was often background construction noise and interjections from contractors.
I have also had a data entry role where typing accuracy was vital, since the work involved financial information for tax purposes.
Currently, I am an editor in legal publishing, working with lawyers and academics to produce legal textbooks at a high professional standard. I therefore have a confident mastery of English and diligently work to meet strict deadlines.
Additionally, I am familiar with a range of English-speaking accents because I have lived in New Zealand, the USA and now the UK.
