I have over fifteen years of database design, development and administration experience using oracle database (8 to 11g) and different other tools. Started as a trainee developer to work with forms and reports and that I did quite well with Developer 2000 Rel 2.1 and Oracle Developer Rel 6. In addition to that I also used to take part in the schema management and control. By the time I had over three years of experience, Started taking active part in database configuration and administration. Then had exposure of working as DBA for 9i database on Windows 2000 server. It was hosting a production system for a textile manufacturing concern and was supposed to run uninterruptedly round the clock. In addition to configuration and monitoring, I also became familiar with tuning of the system both at database end as well optimization of the application components that were built in Developer 6i. Later had the opportunity to work as a consultant with a defense organization that was working with a variety of domains.. Built custom application for MIS component of the project in 10g DS. Later assigned to manage the database (10g initially) running on Red Hat Linux. For the last five years, I have been configuring, monitoring and tuning 10g/11g RAC databases in their data center. Currently working as visiting consultant with Army Heritage Foundation and developing their HR and Payroll application that is deployed with Oracle 10g Application Server.

My short introduction: I have done my under graduation in Electrical Engineering from IIT (BHU), India. Further, my interest in Finance led me to choose EDHEC Business School (France) for the Master's degree in Finance. I have finished my internship as Financial Analyst in Central Finance team at Schneider Electric, Paris. Being a graduate with dual background (Finance and Engineering) from top universities I would be a suitable fit for the team. My experience with mathematics and computing would facilitate me to understand the tech part of the tasks. The combined knowledge of programming and finance is the key characteristic of my profile which distinguishes me from other candidates. During my Masters degree in France, I worked on few projects. I did my master thesis on "Financial Analysis and Valuation of Stock price of BBA Aviation" in which methods like DCF, comparable methods and dividend discount model were used. It also included the study of competitors and SWOT analysis of company and industry. I have done a Portfolio Management project where I studied and applied different strategies to compare the results with the benchmark (Market index) and between different strategies. All the strategies included active management of stocks to get better returns. I have done another project on pricing of stocks and options as a part of my curriculum in which I used MS Excel & VBA programming for regression analysis and MATLAB to price the options using Monte Carlo Simulation
