I am looking for some one with experience using FileMaker.
I have purchased a business database from a list provider that came with software made with FileMaker.
I have deleted their database and imported my own business lists for my Territory. I would like to sell this list to the public but the problem is that when you close the program it shows a splash screen advertising their credits. I would like to remove this splash screen so that i can sell my lists while using the database software they created.
I suggest allowing me to recreate the database as a stand-alone software for you. This way you can remove the credits in the closing splash screen and avoid any legal issues. If it is not too complicated I can easily do it for the bid I posted, if it needs a little more work most likely double my bid. I can offer a completed version that runs on Mac and one for PC. As for mobile the end-user would need Filemaker-Go. However, creating your own version is the only way you could release this publicly without legal recourse.
The only way you will be able to do this is if you have administrator level access to the program which is unlikely to be granted. The likelihood is that the agreement you have with them prohibits you doing exactly that. You also will have to take into account that anybody you sell it to will have to have a copy of FileMaker which is expensive enough to take a lot of potential buyers out of contention or you sell it as a FileMaker Go solution for the iPad. Delivering it as a runtime requires a copy of FileMaker Advanced and makes the solution so big that it, again, is impractical.
