I've both freehand and Indesign. I used to do design in 2K using freehand and when Indesign came in 2004 started to use this app. I do work fast and also delivery high quality of work, services. Greetings, I have been creating pages for all types of publications for well over 20+ years. And, I'm an expert level user of InDesign, as well as being very familiar with the old Aldus Freehand before Aldus was bought by Adobe and Freehand was phased out. I have been a user of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat since their very first versions. I also have been creating press-ready PDFs since 2000. Steps: 1) Convert all Freehand files to Adobe Illustrator. This will allow the files to be updated at a later date, for a subsequent publication. The reason is because the Freehand program is no longer being produced. Do note that additional steps may be required because Freehand permitted the placing of raster images without external links. 2) Place all pages into the pages as requested. 3) Create any new pages. 4) Supply a complete proof for your approval. 5) Make any necessary changes to meet approval. 6) Upon approval, package InDesign file, which will include all placed files and fonts. A press-ready PDF will be produced in the packaging of the InDesign file. I will require the press specs in order to supply the type of file your printer requires.
