Mobile app for webpage

I need to make a mobile app of our website [login to view URL] The sites contains all sports news in Norway and use filter to filter out the news the user wants. The app should look and feel like a twitter app but only with newsbits instead of tweets. When the user get new newsbit he should be scrolled down to the last news he read. The webpage is build with php/mysql by a Romanian programmer and you will need to communicate with him for the info you need to pull out data of the db etc. The user should be able to choose what filters he want in a setup menu. Along with update frequency. Like i said it should be like a Twitter app only with news. If you are a creative person and have ideas about addind futures we are happy to hear. Thanks
