Add Hover Controls to a Slideshow

I'm using the bxslider plugin on a website and I need someone to modify this for me. I need controls added to the slideshow so when you hover over the left half of an image a arrow pointing to the left appears and follows the cursor, and if you hover over the right half an arrow appears under the cursor pointing to the right. If you click on that left 1/2 of the image it goes to the previous image and if you click on the right half it advances to the next half. See attached screenshot for an idea of what it will look like.
