Hi, I am an expert in Physics and Math with emphasis on computational projects. Please check out my profile page for more information. I actually wanted to discuss some questions I had regarding your project. I understand that the algorithm would essentially be computing two quantities in general: weight on a particular parameter (how many penalty saved, or how tall the keeper is etc.), and then based on the weight find out an overall 'potential performance index' for that player so you can compare him with other players at similar position (e.g. keepers). If what I'm describing is correct then the project would certainly be a long one since it would involve a lot of data analysis and consecutive decision making. And it seems like we need to create two sets of algorithm really: one with statistical analysis on the data sets we already have, and another one on deciding on the weight value based on the first algorithm. This seems to be a very interesting project. I will he happy to talk about it with you in detail before committing. I'm available to talk in 2 hours once I go home. Thanks!
