This is a four stage project. Stage 1: Prototyping the IOIO + Card Reading application. The android device will be connected to a magnetic card reader (acts as a usb keyboard) as well as an IOIO board. When a test credit card is swiped all lights for the IOIO controller should turn on. When the card is swiped again they should turn off. Stage 2: Credit Card Processing. When the credit card is swiped it will need to contact an api to validate the card. If the api validates the card the lights should turn on otherwise they should turn off (and show an error on the screen) Stage 3: UI Layout. The UI will consist of 4 primary screens. Card Input, Card Validated/Invalidated, Light on/status screen. A video will also be displayed during this process. Stage 4: Finalization of product. Product is packaged with instructions on how to deploy to android devices (note this will NOT be in the play store but a manual copy). Each stage is a paid milestone. We need someone with Android experience AND if possible IOIO experience. Proof of IOIO experience will go very far.
