Hey, I'm an iOS developer based in Sydney, Australia and have worked on projects like these for some times now. I think the way to go for you is to create a hybrid app and use web technologies, like JS and HTML. I think it makes sense for this app because you'll get native looking app, plus we can use most of the website's code.
