POSTFIX Server issue - Cannot send mail to any external users

I have a postfix server that requires an expert that can get postfix to be able to send to external domains . The machine can send locally and receive mail from local and external domains. this is one error Recipient address rejected: User unknown in local recipient table I assume it will be something in the config file but cannot locate it. The server hosts multiple domains, runs Dkim as well on the email.
