We paid a coder a few months ago to develop an application that captures data / images from 2 specific websites by screen scraping. The application was written in Delphi7 and is attached. The application enables us to capture stock data from our suppliers into an Access Database, which we use for our online store. We would like to make some modifications to this application, but our original coder is not available. Please quote for making the following modifications: 1. Download images in a higher resolution suitable for display at approximately 150 x 120 pixel size. Please send sample of images at the higher resolution so that we can make sure it displays clearly. 2. Modify the application so that it runs faster by only updating the database rather than writing a new record every time, and / or allowing the user to only update records with a selected format (eg DVD only). (Not sure if these are possible, please advise if not). 3. Modify the application so that if the data capture is interrupted part way, there is an option to continue from previous OR to start again. 4. Add in an Express Data Capture option that only checks price and stockcount for each itemcode, and does not check all the other data fields. This Express Option also needs a continue from previous or start again feature. 5. At the end of the data capture application (normal or Express), please add a feature that summarises all records that have been changed and which data fields have been changed. eg Record A - price $10.95 > $14.95. Save this summary as a txt file. 6. Some records aren't being saved accurately because they have an extra line involved. eg DV1TIHA. Please fix this. We aren't sure whether all of these changes are possible, please confirm which of these can be done and quote accordingly. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law.
