Thunderbird/Mailing List Scripts

I have a mailing list which I send out via a bulk mailer. The only problem is that all the time people are closing their accounts or they are expiring. I use thunderbird to do regular mail and my inbox is always full of thousands of 'Mail delivery failed: returning message to sender'. I have the mailing list in a master email addresses text file (1 per line). I would like either a script or a small application with a basic GUI that could extract the email addresses that have failed and put them in another text file. As the email address I have sent to is always inclued in the 'failed' email it wouldn't just be a case of extracting the 'from' address. If it could find all the emails with the 'failed' heading and then search those email and extract all email addresses from within each message then it would be perfect. It would have to have some kind of negative email address function, in each 'failed' email it also has the original sending address (mine) - it would need to discount all mention of my email address and only collect the one I had sent to. Also if there was a very small script or application that compared two files (the email addresses which have failed and the master email address list) and then delete one from the other. Basically read the 'failed' email addresses from one text file and then delete them all from the master email list. I presume that it is fairly basic as it is just extracting addresses to a text file, then deleting them from the master list.
