missing content on page after submitting it in smarty CMS

Although the content that I added is present in the admin page and I can see the data in the database, when I click the generated link it goes to a blank page. No errors on the page. This occurred on 2 items, but has always worked perfectly before. The server has recently been updated from PHP 4 to PHP 5. budget $30
