VBA Coder needed to fix existing Microsoft Word menu application(repost)

We have an application written in VBA (I believe) that builds a menu in Word 2000 and Word XP based on the contents of a directory and file structure. It also allows for special forms to be pulled up that tie into a Microsoft Access database containing client contact information. The application makes a local copy equal to that of the network so that if the PC is not connected to the network (due to server outage or remote operation) the application should still work and be able to access documents/forms. This application has worked more or less for a long time, but there are several problems. When disconnected from the network, even with the option to "not update" is selected, the program locks up or hangs as if it is trying to update. The DOT file this is based on increases in size which seems to be part of the problem. The manual updating part does not seem to work every time. The loading of Word tends to be very slow and needs to have more speed. The program also seems to have issues with installing. There is a minor macro security issue that has a work-around that is annoying and could be fixed. Also, there is a merge document that seems to not update the date properly when performing the merge but works fine independantly that needs to be corrected. There may be some other minor bugs, but most focus around the networking and updating process. The programmer for this project needs to be VERY family with VBA, Microsoft Word programming, and understand the concept of Windows based networking (TCP/IP) and drive shares. ## Deliverables The main thing is that the programmer must be flexible. I have tried to list the bugs I am aware of that need addressing, but there may be 1-2 other minor issues that need to be addressed. These will not be complex or involved and, if they are, a bonus will be applied to compensate for any additional issues. Also, I don't care where the coder comes from, but he or she must be completely fluent in English to help make the process go more smoothly. After accepting the job I will send the DOT file that installs and runs the program as well as an example database that holds client contact information. The coder will likely need to make a few drive shares to set up a fake directory structure to simulate the working environment. The coder will have NO contact with the actual 3rd party client and all work will need to go through me.
