Configuring Routes files in Codeigniter

Hello, To start with, this is a codeigniter task, so if you don't know it, please do not bother. The problem I am facing is with the URL and routes configuration. I am trying to let every user have a custom (vanity) url. Example: [login to view URL] I have a user profile which is accessible via multiple ways, they are: - from a page where all user names are shown, and visitor clicks name of profile owner, it goes to profile like this: [login to view URL] I want this to be done in the background, but the URL in address bar should be [login to view URL] - or someone advertised his/her profile url, so anyone can type this to visit the profile: [login to view URL] Once that is pasted in the address bar, it should take him to that user. if someone is serious enough please let me know. I need this ASAP and it is such a small task for anyone with codeigniter experience. The cheaper bit will be awarded the project.
