3DES implementation in a J2ME application

Project Overview: The project is part of a mobile POS (Point of Sale) solution that includes a mobile J2ME application and a separate printer + card reader. The communication between the application and the printer + card reader is over bluetooth and RS232. This communication needs to be 3DES encrypted. ? Detailed Requirements: - The 3DES implementation will need to be done in? J2ME (JSR 82). - This code? will be plugged into our? existing application code. - The printer/card reader MUST work over Bluetooth and RS232. - Once the card is swiped on the reader, the printer should have the? capability to encrypt the track data using 3DES. Hence the focus of the application would be to send a signal to the card reader to encrypt that data when card is swiped and then transmitted to the application on mobile phone. The data once on the mobile phone needs to be decrypted. - The message format for the card reader to encrypt data will be shared. - Hence to summarize the functionality you need to swipe a card on card reader and card reader will encrypt it before send it to the phone over Bluetooth. Once data is received on the phone the code should be able to decrypt the data. - Code MUST work on all phones hence no third party plugins or packages are strongly discouraged. - The application MUST be CLDC 1.1 and MIDP 2.0 and above compatible.
