We have an existing PhoneGap/Cordova app to which we would like to add a feature allowing a user to search for other users within a variable distance from their UK postcode and/or the mobile device's current location. You would be responsible for both 1) creating the search/results screen within the app, where the user enters their postcode and desired distance (e.g. in km) - and 2) adding to the existing API a new endpoint which runs the DB query and returns the results as JSON. The app itself mostly consists of HTML, JS/TypeScript and CSS/LESS. The backend is mostly PHP and MySQL. The original programmer will be available to help you find your way around the existing code if necessary. We would strongly prefer to find someone who would be available for future work on other projects.
