Online Video Sports Competition

A web site that can manage an online competition where video from entrants are either assessed and scored, or where 2 entrants videos are compared to one another and judged to determine the winner of the match. The web site would manage a single elimination or double elimination competition to determine a winner. I have mocked up an idea of what the judges would see to do the judging and what the "audience" would see once all of the judging is complete. Judges can judge matches at different times. The videos are displayed via Youtube at present and what is shown is only a mock up. If we make it to a live system, I would like the videos to be stored and displayed within our site rather than through Youtube. I have a more detailed brief attached as a pdf. Judges Scoring Here are two alternatives of what the judge might see to score the kata/match. We can change/remove bits of the scoring and comments area as desired. Option 1 is for a points based approach: Go to - [login to view URL] Option 2 is for a head to head match: Go to - [login to view URL] Once a match is announced, it may take a week or so for the judging to be completed. After all judges have scored the match, we would upload a video of the match and inform the competitors, all judges and the audience. The audience can register to be notified of the match outcome during the judging process. The video of the match would be generated by the system to minimse the need for an administrator to create content. An example of what the "Results" could look like follows. Only some judges (determined by the rank of the judge) may be able to judge certain matches.
