I'm using Phprunner (Code generator) for creating web application. Those who know phprunner tool alone ping me please. I Want one field to get auto populated based on another field value. Example : Branch/YYYY/MM/1 in this format CH/2020/07/1 next entry to be CH/2020/07/2 , CH/2020/07/3 etc CH is value of one field, rest year/month and number sequence. Refer attached video for mockup Payment ID also to be autopopulated based on dependent field branch id Example format CH-2020-07-1 next month first entry becomes CH-2020-08-1 100th bill will be CH-2020-08-100 etc

I have 15 Years Experience with PHPrunner , Currently 9.8 to - 10.4. Your dropdown dependency is all dependant upon your database structure. Not withstanding that if the data needs to be generated as in your video and does not exist yet in the database then , yes you need to use either Javascript or an event before record added to accomplish this. You will also have to escape the slashes " / " if you want in that format . I can do this in an event situation before add but Javascript would be more costly and more time consuming and would be a higher bid with more time involved to accomplish this correctly. I assume you are using a MySql Database , Sql is possible also but MySQl can handle this a little easier.
