What is the main goal for this project? Investigate the properties and functionality of various antibodies for the purpose of optimization of lateral flow assays. Researcher will be tasked with conducting background research to justify the selection of various antibodies. Once selected the researcher will be tasked with creating a research protocol to look into conducting validation and optimization of selected antibodies. Upon completion of protocol creation researcher will be required to test antibodies though a variety of lateral flow assays document results. Upon completion of trials research will compile a full report of lab results. What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal? - Through background analysis - Completion of lab report to be used for internal purposes - Recommendations on integration of successful lateral flow assay into patented mechanical design - Create a report on properties of selected antibodies How will you support learners in completing the project? FentaGone has had several students come through out company via employment, internships, short term projects etc. We understand that we are in a nonstandard field and we will work diligently to catch new students up to speed using our onboarding system. We will pair the students with an existing team member for the first stint of their time with us. We highly value creative ideas and forward thinking in our company and make an effort not to force anyone that is being onboarded to adjust to our way of thinking. Rather we are seeking someone with a solid understand that can help adjust company thought and enhance our project. What skills or technologies will help learners to complete the project? - Creative Thinking - Previous knowledge of basic biochemistry - Willingness to do a deep dive into biodynamic processes - Pharmacological understanding of antibodies is an asset
