Hey, How long do you think it would take you to build an application similar to trackR or findmyphone except with an added feature which allows you to remotely control the phone, voice record, alarm, pretend to be off and take pictures etc.? There's some other applications similar so it shouldn't be that hard to combine all these features. I'd also like to have it work with an emblement so that you can track it from another device such as a 2 way radio watch or another cell phone and locate it with vibrations as you get closer to the phone or by gps which the phone would automatically pick up onto signal the location to the actual owner. We are also gave a presentation on gsm security weakness in India. we will complete this project in 10 days. hardware should be provided by employer. we already have ettus n210 ,bladerf ,RAD1 devices with us. Limitations of OpenBTS 1) one can listen to only outgoing calls 2) as usrp n210 dont have power amplifier coverage area of imsi catcher is very low. 3) to increase coverage area you will need power amplifier and LNA ,duplexer we can help you to buy devices from market which can give you good coverage.
