Will try and explain as best I can. Any queries please let me know.
Host machine is Kali Linux - (Debian wheezy)
A Python script to do the following:
I have a CSV file - this is our "input sheet called "[login to view URL]".
The CSV file which contains several fields, Briefly the format is as follows:
----------
"SITE","FROM","URL","TITLE","DESCRIPTION"
"Google","[login to view URL]","[login to view URL]","Virgin Money Giving | Charity fundraising, sponsorship and ...","Online charity fundraising and donations made easy. Virgin Money Giving is not-
for-profit and committed to making more money for charity."
"Google","[login to view URL]","[login to view URL]","Virgin Credit Cards UK | Balance Transfer Credit Card | 0% balance ...","Choose from credit cards & prepaid cards from Virgin Money UK. ... by offering a
free Virgin Experience Days voucher with your new Virgin Money Credit Card."
----------
I would like it to create a subdirectory with todays date
Perform a "wget" command to pull down the site URL thats in the 3rd field. I am not sure if wget will work for all site types or urls so another method may be required. I am not too worried about any images etc, just the raw text content into the directory of todays date.
Hi,
This sounds like a straightforward task. I have experience with python were I have been dealing with millions of entries contained in a CSV file. If you are curious I can even send you some sample source code. I hope you'll grant me this opportunity to do some work for you. Looking forward to your response.
All the best,
Konstantin
