Good day! I have 2 years of experience as an Appointment Setter for a Time-Share account in US. We were pre qualifying them for a FREE Vacation Package, once qualified we would then ask them to visit a 90 minute presentation where the sales agent of the company would showcase their services. After finishing the show, they would then receive the promised Free Vacation package, and us our commission.
I was only paid $3.5 for an 8 hour graveyard shift. That's $3.5 for the whole shift and NOT FOR EVERY HOUR so i had to make sure that i set the most appointments i could in a night. After two weeks of intensive training which included voice modulation, basic sales techniques, dealing with customers, policies, the products, compliance, and up selling new feature releases I was able to average 6 appointment settings a night and 19 successful appointments in a month . After 9 months i was promoted to the position of Team Leader of the office. I was the one making the decisions in the office from what state to call, when to take a break, how long to train new applicants, up to accepting a new agent. Our office experienced a boost in performance when i was the Team Leader.
2 weeks after the company closed down because of management problems i was then hired by a call center as an Appointment Setter for a Vents Cleaning account in Canada for 1 year and. I was never promoted to higher position because all the higher positions were held by the relatives of the boss.
