Optimize Existing ExactTarget Subscribe API

Optimize existing ExactTarget Subscribe API currently written in a Coldfusion CFC to conform with Best Practices and to make the API much more modular and easier to utilize throughout our Coldfusion code. Currently, we use the API to automatically create a new subscriber with a given set of Attributes and modify that subscription as the subscriber engages with our site, i.e., updates subscription information, becomes a paid subscriber, behavioral targeting, etc.. We're looking for your expertise to review our current implementation (one CFC), and create a more elegant, efficient solution for our needs which might necessitate the need for additional files which you would create (i.e., possibly breaking out the current CFC into separate API and Service layers, etc.). Existing CFC can be shared upon request during the bidding phase on a case-by-case basis.
