Adobe Air application

We need to update in one Desktop Adobe Air application, which is 80% complete. Need to correct the reading of books. All web services and design material will be provided by us. It's a simple update require in the current application. Mainly reading of books. Please let me know, best suitable format for the Adobe Air application, this should be secure. No one should not be able to read apart from Application, as this are going to be paid books. Developer should be available on Skype and fast in development.
