Worked as a portfolio manager for 7 years before joining to the risk management team of the Central Bank of Turkey. From May 2012 to March 2015, headed the credit risk desk of the Central Bank of Turkey. In March 2015, has been appointed as the Representative of The Central Bank of Turkey in Tokyo and as The Economic Counsellor to The Turkish Embassy in Tokyo. Has undergraduate on economics in Ankara at the Gazi University. Holds an MSc degree on Money, Banking and Finance from the Economics Department of University of Birmingham and an MA degree on Theory of Economics from Gazi University. His dissertations were on modeling volatility in financial time series and behavioral finance respectively. He has many articles published on refereed journals and he is a PhD candidate on Banking and Finance at the Yildirim Beyazit University in Ankara.
