349353 Improve Educat.Membership site

Looking for Drupal help to improve an existing Drupal 6 site. The site is a language learning membership site offering new downloadable material (mp3 and pdf files) every month as well as regular posted content (videos, articles, audio podcast, blog, newsletter). The site was upgraded from Drupal 5 to Drupal 6 in August 2009 (no new functionality added) and is using Ubercart 2.0. Use of existing modules and core functionality only. You will need to be familiar with: CCK, Ubercart, Views/Panels Protected file downloads, Acess control and User management modules Solutions in Drupal for embedding images, audio and video (hosted off-site) such as Emfield, Video module Multilanguage Internationalization / Localization modules Scope: 1 - Improve site structure: solutions for frontpage, first time visitor 'site tour' or 'How it works' feature/block, archived content (podcast/blog posts), video gallery, search. Quick check: Confirm or change drupal directory structure / Confirm or change existing url structure. 2 - Make it easier to post new content for admins ('publishing system') Propose solution for embedded images, pdf, videos, podcast feed with files hosted off-site, blog feed. Define content types. Use tags / taxonomy to label content. 3 - Sell membership access with Ubercart and protect content, three access levels (visitor/registered/paid), show teasers, ability to sell 'back-issues' 4 - Make site more visually attractive, cleaner, less cluttered: implement an existing popular theme (considering Acquia Marina) with modified colours 5 - Propose educational features: glossary (word explanations), interactive exercises/quizzes 6 - Propose community features: user profiles with pictures, location maps, contact other members, implement forums (one for students, one for teachers). 7 - Make the site multilingual: user can select language for some content blocks (those blocks that explain how to use the site and info for purchasing membership) I am looking for one person to develop a plan of attack with and then implement covering as many of the points 1 - 7.
